Michael Steele hates country clubs (and still loves puppies)

As a Marylander I have mixed emotions about Michael Steele running to be Chairman of the RNC. I'd prefer to have him challenge Martin O'Malley,the worst governor in America, in 2010. (for those of you who are lucky enough to NOT live in Maryland, O'Malley spearheaded the passage of a $1.4 billion tax increase in 2007, which was obscene in its large size and scope. He increased the corporate tax rate, the top personal income tax rate, the sales tax rate, and the cigarette tax rate. He also expanded the sales tax base and raised taxes on vehicles. This enormous increase hit Marylanders directly in their wallet, and indirectly through slower economic growth over time. But they got exactly what they deserve because they were stupid enough to vote him in)

In an interview with the Washington Times, Steele castigated Republican Party leadership for having a "country club" mentality and being out of touch, and said if he is chosen to represent the party, he will help transform it into an inspiring choice for young and minority voters.

I think Steele would serve as a good face-lift for the Republican party. The perception of that "country club mentality" that Steele was talking about is a small part of what helped get Republicans kicked out of Congress and the Whitehouse. When you look at our leadership it's mostly fat, old, gray haired, white men. Steele is a dynamic guy-and NOT fat, old, gray-haired OR white.

But the GOP lost this cycle mostly because they started acting like Democrats, not because young voters weren't attracted to old white men.

And I'm not convinced the Republican Party could EVER do ANYTHING that will "inspire" young and minority voters.

But Steele is correct-the GOP's "outreach" is a complete joke. I do believe that Republicans could be doing more to reach out to religious blacks who are very socially conservative (We have them to thank for passing Prop 8 in California). But this should be a very long term strategy because theres no way that less than 95% of the black population would ever vote against Obama or the party he is in charge of. And the GOP does ignore Libertarian leaning young voters (Ron Paul revolution). But as we saw in the Republican presidential primaries there aren't many Ron Paul voters out there anyway.

And if by "outreach" Steele means set asides and give aways for minorities and young people then we might as well just concede the 2010 and 2012 elections right now. We need to return to our conservative principles, not water ourselves down even more by continuing to pretend to be Democrats.

But judging from Steele's past comments this is not at all what he meant.

I'd rather have him as governor of my state, but it looks like the RNC chairmanship is pretty much his for the taking. He's the only person running for it who is known nationally.

Hopefully he gets it. It'll help to bring a fresh face to the Republican party and fight the perception that many independent voters have of us.

It's always good for a laugh when liberals claim that they're just as patriotic as conservatives. Even more laughable is the fact that they claim to love the military just as much as conservatives. Funny though...you don't see any conservatives stomping American flags, trying to ban the ROTC, spitting on military recruiters or in this case burning American troops in effigy.

To be fair, I'm just assuming this happened in San Francisco (where else, right?) Lets hope Al Qaeda picks whatever city these nuts live in for their next attack.

Trouble in Paradise

Looks like the nuts over at Daily Kos aren't so giddy anymore.

They are absolutely livid about the fact that their Messiah has forgiven Joe Lieberman and intervened on his behalf so that he can continue to caucus with the Democrats.

So once again the far left has failed in its attempt to destroy Joe Lieberman. Despite the fact that one of their own has now won the presidency, the idiots over at Daily Kos continue to descend into irrelvancy. No doubt they feel betrayed by the King they helped to crown.

Aren't the libs the ones who always claim to be so tolerant? Sure, they tolerate muslim terrorist (and Americas enemies in general), abortionist, drug dealers, child-molestors, and any and all other deviants but GOD FORBID you think the War on Terror is more than just a slogan. Turns out liberals only tolerate you if you think like them.

Remember the only isssue Joe Lieberman splits with the Democrats on is the War on Terror. Keep in mind that his is a guy who was on the Democratic ticket in 2000!! And now they want his head.

And for those of you who think this is some sort of bipartisan attempt to reach out to those who disagree with Obama...think again.

Democrats are stupid but they CAN (suprisingly)do math. Now that the democrats may take the Senate seats in Alaska, Minnesota, and Georgia they realize that they might actually have a chance of reaching that magic number of 60. Now they NEED Lieberman.

The face of Obama's foreign policy

So it looks like the picture at the left is what we can expect from the Obama administration for the next 4 years when it comes to foreign policy.

NOW we know what was discussed in that highly publicized private meeting between Obama and Bill Clinton on September 11th in Clinton's Harlem office.

There are many reasons why Hillary shouldn't be allowed ANY WHERE NEAR the State Department. Since leaving office her husband has made a living doing favors for foreign leaders. The regime in Uzbekistan (which by the way, is one of the most oppressive governments on the planet) donated $115 million to Clinton's presidential library.

But we don't know who else. We don't know WHO the Clinton's owe or why the owe them.

Neither side has confirmed this to be true. But one thing is for sure....Hillary Clinton has absolutely no interest in being in the Senate. She never did. It was always just a stepping stone for the Clintons to get back into the Whitehouse. But now that that's fallen through I'm sure Hillary would KILL (Sorry Vince Foster)for this job.

Can we ask those questions at some point in time? Can we have an actual substantive discussion over why Hillary Clinton should be chosen over others as Secretary of State? Or are we going to continue focusing on questions of stardom and ignore questions of substance?

Obama picks Reagan assassin's lawyer for Whitehouse Counsel

Barack Obama has selected Gregory Craig as White House counsel, a move that will recall some controversial legal cases over the last few years. Craig has plenty of experience in politics as well as the courtroom, having served as Bill Clinton’s legal counsel during the impeachment hearings. Craig flipped from Hillary Clinton to Barack Obama early in the primaries, and the Dear Leader has rewarded his Disciple.

Besides defending Clinton through the impeachment process, an effort that Craig lost, who else had the benefit of Craig’s counsel?

-Elian Gonzalez’s father - Craig represented the father who demanded the return of his son after his estranged wife died trying to take Elian to freedom. Most people saw this as a thinly-veiled publicity stunt from Fidel Castro, attempting to embarrass the US. The dispute got resolved when Janet Reno ordered an armed assault on the house where Elian’s family in the US provided him a home.
-Kofi Annan - The former Secretary-General of the UN hired Craig to defend his interests in the Volcker Commission probe of the Oil-for-Food scandal, which put billions of dollars into Saddam Hussein’s pockets while providing cash for Annan’s son, his deputies, and some allege Annan himself.
-Pedro Gonzalez Pinzon - A Panamanian legislator wanted for murdering an American soldier in 1992. The Dallas Morning News demanded that Obama force Craig to drop the case during the campaign, but no report of whether he did is easily available.

But the MOST disgusting and disturbing of Craigs clients is this one..

-John Hinckley, Jr - Craig presented and won the insanity defense that allows Ronald Reagan’s would-be assassin to spend weekends with his family now. Craig was the architect of Hinckley's sucessful defense.

Sadly I can't say that I'm at all suprised considering the company that B.Hussein has kept in the past.

What's next? Ramsey Clark (the guy who defended Saddam Hussein in his trial for genocide)as Attorney General? Ooops...too late. Lyndon Johnson already did that.

This is why Republicans just laugh when Democrats talk about Justice or the American legal system.

So it looks like the Dear Leader isn't even eligible to be President of the United States according to that pesky piece of paper called the Constitution...




Clause 5 of Article Two of the Constitution clearly states:
No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President
Apparently constitutional requirements do not apply to the Dear Leader...after all, he IS the way the truth and the light.

The media has not only ignored this but they have actively tried to discredit anyone who has the audacity to insist that the President of the United States actually meet the qualifications for office. They must protect the Great One at all cost. If liberals love the constitution as much as they pretend to then why do they ignore one of the most important clauses in it?

Where's the media on this?!? This is further proof (as if we needed any) that journalism is dead and that the American "News" media is a complete and total embarassment.

So whats good for the goose is good for the gander, right?

Does this mean we'll see a Schwarzenegger 2012 campaign?

Of course not. The rules apply to him. He's a Republican.
